The Magic of Motown has the X-Factor
The X-Factor’s loss is set to be local theatre goers’ gain as the Magic of Motown comes to town.
Talented singers Pierre “Blue” Herell and Ryan King were cheered on by millions of TV viewers in ITV’s X Factor show as part of boy band trio Ghostt , progressing to the final 24 contestants in the competition.
The two also star in touring stage show the Magic of Motown.
“Had they progressed to the final 12 contestants they wouldn’t have been available to appear in the Magic of Motown concert show,” says Michael Taylor who produces the hit theatre show that features all of Tamla Motown’s million-selling hits.
“Although we were wishing Ghostt the best of luck, I’d have to be honest and say I breathed a sigh of relief when they didn’t make the cut.” Pierre from Ghostt says he is disappointed at not progressing past the “Boot Camp” section of the TV show to the live show finals.
“We were thrilled to be selected as one of the top six boy bands to enter,” says Pierre.
“It was awesome, we were mentored by Simon Cowell himself and performed Brandy’s Have You Ever.
“It was heartbreaking to get that close to being chosen as a finalist but probably not as devastating for us as some of the other contestants. We already have successful careers as singers in the Magic of Motown stage show.”
